Annual Primary Snowcone Party

On the first day of school, our neighborhood has a snow cone party. All the kids stop by the church to get a snowcone on their way home from school. Lucy got to go with me to set up. Here she is chillin' on a blanket with her stylish shades...

Dinosaur Museum

After the first day of school, we took all the kids to the Dinosaur Museum. I think they all had fun. There was a new area with all kinds of hands on experiments. Good thing the room wasn't bigger, we had a hard enough time keeping track of everyone. They were all over the place and running from one area to another.

Lucy woke up when we got into the main museum and out of the experiment room. Although I don't know why. The experiment room was light and loud and noisy and the museum was dark and much quieter...They had a stuffed dinosaur that the kids could build...

and climb on.Lucy was happy watching the other kids climb and jump...

and run....

Then it was on to the water feature. It is the best and we always spend the most time there. The kids get wet and sandy, but have a blast making dams and dinosaur habitats.

Back into the museum and they tried to jump all at once on the scale so they could weigh as much as a dinosaur....

Cameron wrestling the cute baby dinosaur. I tried to get a picture of all the kids together somewhere in the museum...

Lucy just thought it was scary for a moment... Then it was back to playing with her toes... At the sand feature, they brushed off dinosaur bones.... And Kaylee and Jaidyn buried themselves...Sand everywhere...

Couldn't get all of them in the picture booth to take a picture either.

Outside the museum it was the same story....Can you see Cameron in the background??????? Lucy and Jaidyn weren't too happy by this time.

It was like herding cats....Finally all in the same spot. This is as good as I could get. Hey..at least they are all in the same picture.

First day of school 2011

It was the first day of school for the kids on Tuesday. They were all set. New clothes, cute backpacks... I asked Tyson what his favorite thing was and he started in on recess, lunch, seeing all his friends. Finally got to "I like my teacher," but nothing actually about school. He is in 4th grade.

The first thing that Cameron said was, "my teacher's really cool."Josh said, "I like my teacher but I can tell if you make her mad you will be in real trouble."Kaylee's favorite thing about the first day of 4 year-old preschool was the "a, b, c's song." Jaidyn doesn't start her preschool until after labor day, but she is excited to go and everyday wants to know if she can go to school too.
