Princess Festival

We went to the Princess Festival at Thanksgiving Point on Wednesday, June 27, 2012.  Kaylee was so excited, Lucy was a little less than enthusiastic.

Kaylee and Jaidyn liked posing in the princess carriage and

riding on the horses.  We even rode in a real carriage pulled by two real horses.  Jaidyn was thrilled with that.

  The girls made princess crowns.  I think Kaylee is trying to "help" Jaidyn.

The girls got their picture taken with lots of princesses and each time a princess would come to say "hi" they would say, "Hello, Princess Kaylee" or "Princess Jaidyn" or "Princess Lucy." (Each girl had a princess badge with their name on it)

This was as close as Lucy would get to Ariel.

The girls danced with the Osmond Girls as they performed.

Lucy just wasn't thrilled.

 They got their nails done.  They thought that was fun. Lucy looked on.

  Lucy got out of the stroller several times to walk (or run around) but wouldn't get close to the princesses.

Lucy was okay to watch the girls make their crowns with Aunt Linda nearby.

 Then she was done and wanted to take off her dress.

All in all it was a fun time for the girls.  One the way home I asked Kaylee what she liked best thinking that she would say dancing with the twelve dancing princesses, but no.  Her favorite part was "being a REAL princess."

Tyson's 4th Grade Program

Tyson's class program was Tuesday night. They were all dressed in costumes. Tyson's class were pioneers. Others were railroad workers, skiers, Indians, Ute fans, BYU fans. They sang great and the choreography was wonderful too.

We sat back pretty far so, before the program started I got a little closer to get a pic of Tyson. He is in the blue shirt with the red neckerchief tipping his hat. What a cutie!

Cameron saw the program during school time so he was more interested in playing games on his mom's phone. Although, I did catch him singing along on several songs.

Tyson has the pose down. I took several pics and they were all the same pose and smile.

What cute kids we have. We are so lucky.

I still can't get the Utah song out of my head. It was great!

Tyson's dentist found a large mass of some kind growing on top of his 6-year molars. They didn't know what the mass was but felt it needed to come out. A fairly nervous Tyson (along with all the rest of us) went into the office to get the "mass" removed. As they put him to sleep, Aimee said he kept telling them that he has a really hard time going to sleep and sometimes it takes a long, long time for him to get to sleep....zzzzzzz!Poor little guy! This isn't the best way to get out of school for a couple of days. When he came out of the anesthesia, Aimee said he was really funny. He told her he was seeing double and then that he wanted to see her phone so he could play a game. On the way home, he asked when they were going to let him drive the car.It was a larger "mass" than they anticipated and we have to wait for 2 to 3 weeks to get the labs back on it. The next day his cheek was a little swollen, but he is doing great. Kids bounce back so fast. We love you Tys.

Lucy's First Major/Minor Ouchie!

Lucy and I went to Cameron's birthday party a little early to help out and she was showing her cousins how she can stand up all by herself (several times very successfully). Then, she crawled over to the stone entryway and stood up, arms out, talking and smiling all the time. Then, she sat down and when she tried to stand again, she foot caught on her dress and over she went right on her eye. Her first black eye! I felt so bad....but she hardly even wimpered. She is so proud of herself when she stands up and she is going to be walking any day now. Sorry Lucy, Lissa and Mike....it would have to happen with me. DARN!

Can You Believe It! Cameron is Seven.

Our cute Cameron is SEVEN. How time flies. I remember when he was the darling, happy, puggy baby. And it was not so long ago. They grow up way too fast. Cameron wanted an "Angry Birds" party and Aimee, as usual, went all out. As a gathering activity they all colored pictures of "Angry Birds."

Then they made bird seed (trail mix) with all kinds of great snacks.

The cake was fabulous. Aimee is really creative and always comes up with great ideas for the kids cakes. This one was so cute with the angry birds and pigs.

Cameron could hardly wait to blow out the candles and make a wish as everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to him. Then it was cake and ice cream for everyone...He gots lots of great presents from all his friends.Including a red and a black angry bird family....

One of the games that the kids played was to crack the golden egg. Each had a yellow or orange balloon tied around their ankle and they went out in the yard and tried to pop balloons. Each of the kids also decorated their own, favorite angry bird helium balloon to take home. It was a wonderful party and everyone had a great time. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAMERON!!!!!
