Christmas card 2011

I know I am late....as always. But, as you can see. The kids weren't too cooperative for pictures this year. I kept thinking we would get another change to take more, but no such luck.

Here's our news for the year...

2011 has been full of wonderful events.

Aimee and Trent are doing well although very busy. Trent was elected to the Cedar Hills city council in November. He is still working for Xactware, and does construction on the side. Aimee has been writing articles for the Daily Herald along with being in the Primary presidency in her ward. Tyson is ten, can you believe it?! He is a great reader and, I think, will be an electronics wiz. Cameron is in 1st grade and is still a funny kid. He is a thinker. He has picked up on multiplication and division while Tyson has been learning and can now do ALL kinds of math in his head. Kaylee is 4 and in preschool and dance. I got to go to her Christmas recital. She was great. They danced to “I wanna Hippopotamus for Christmas”. She was adorable.

Melissa and Mike had a new addition to their family. Lucy Kay Hurst was born on April 12. Lucy is the best baby ever. She is so beautiful, happy and smiles all the time. She is now 8 months old and we won’t be surprised if she walks any day now. They are living in Farmington and lucky me, I get to babysit Lucy everyday but Wednesday while Mike and Melissa are at work. She is a joy. Mike is still a huge “Ute” fan and still working for the “U”. Mike and Lissa go to all of the football games. Lucy usually stays with me, but they only bring red clothes so that even Lucy has to wear red on game day. Ughh! Melissa is still working at a law firm downtown.

Jennifer finally decided she had had enough of us and moved out. She is living in a house with three other girls a few blocks away. We got to see her quite often until the last few months— someone gave her a washer and dryer so she doesn’t have come home to do laundry. At least she comes over on Sundays for dinner so we see her every now and then.

My sister and her family, Linda, Marshall, Malinda, Josh and Jaiden, moved to Cedar Hills (a couple of blocks from Aimee and Trent). We are SO glad to have them here. It is a lot of fun to do things together and all of the kids are getting to be good friends.

Reid and I are still hanging in there. Reid is working for L-3 although in a new position with the contracts division. I still free-lance as a church producer although only on Wednesday’s and a few other days when someone else gets the day off to watch Lucy. Our Stake keeps Reid busy as one of the clerks and I am enjoying our ward Primary.

Last January we took the whole family to Disneyland instead of buying a lot of Christmas presents. It was great! We all had a wonderful time. We are hoping to have some kind of family trip in 2012, but we haven’t decided what yet.

Hope your family is well and happy and will continue to be in 2012.
Love, Reid & Candee
