Sometimes they coorporated... and sometimes 
they didn't...
Some of my cute grandkids like having pictures taken, but they also let us know when they don't want to do what we ask.
And at those times...it is like pulling teeth...there is no way we are going to get a useable picture.
Cameron was having an especially hard time with getting his picture taken this year... 
Somedays, it is just TOO hard to smile...And FACE the camera... It is nice when we can get a few to look like they are having fun.
We plan on trying again soon. Hopefully the results will be better...or someone else will not like the idea of getting pictures taken...(sigh).
